AARON BUCY
I have been leading worship, writing songs, building teams, and training worship leaders for more than 15 years.
In churches of 30 and churches of 3000.
In high and low liturgical contexts.
I passionately advocate for worship leaders to root their identity in Christ, serve selflessly, grow biblically, think pastorally, learn their context, shape the culture, and connect songs of worship to a life of worship.
“Let me endeavor to lead you out of yourself: let me invite you to look unto Jesus.” - John Newton
An original song I wrote with my friend, Robert Morrison.
An original song with theme and chorus lyrics taken from the hymn 'O Lord, I Will Delight In Thee' by John Ryland (1777). Words and music by Aaron Bucy + Alisa Turner.
Be to me a rock of refuge in which I will remain In Your righteousness deliver, let me not be put to shame You go before in love You chose me And Your love will never change From my youth this hope continues and my mouth will speak Your praise and my mouth will speak Your praise / Oh God, who is like You?
Classic chorus, I LOVE YOU LORD. Sung acapella in a 120 year old church. I LOVE YOU LORD, AND I LIFT MY VOICE TO WORSHIP YOU, OH MY SOUL REJOICE TAKE JOY MY KING, IN WHAT YOU HEAR LET IT BE A SWEET, SWEET SOUND IN YOUR EAR
